31 December 2005 Say hello to Miyu! 14 November 2005 Thursday, 16 December 2004 Wednesday, 24 November 2004 Monday, 22 November 2004 Sunday, 21 November 2004 Saturday, 20 November 2004
YAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAY!!!!!! I've been searching for so long.... every day, I spent hours searching the internet for her... for my holy grail... and today a breeder emailed me referring to an ad I'd placed on an ad-site for dogs. Well, the photos he attached didn't leave me much of a choice and she's so cute and beautiful ♥ The breeder himself seems a nice guy too. I made a first down payment, so... she may come! I'm getting her end January or begin February 2006. France again. And soooooo far away...
What a tiresome day. I moved to Werchter November 4th, a tiny village without anything useful. Bored as hell, I took Toya for a walk on the countryside where we found an American Stafford bitch all alone in a kennel. I felt sorry for the poor thing, so I contacted the owner. Indeed, Ronya (that's her name) is for adoption. So I decided to give her a chance.
Toya and Ronya were now allowed to introduce. Instead of "It's a pleasure", they said "GRRRROOOOOOOOOOOOOOAAAAAAAAAAARRRRRRRR!!" and tried to tear each-other to shreds. But after a while, Ronya submitted herself and Toya accepted her as his new playmate. To see whether or not I could handle her alone, I took both dogs to the city. But not only during the bus ride, but also at the internet café and elsewhere, Ronya tried to attack anyone who got near me. At the post office she and Toya both got so pissed at another male Am. Stafford, that Ronya tossed herself into a bookshelf which I could tidy up again. One-handed that is, for I had to restrain two mad, goddamn STRONG dogs with the other hand at the same time.
I decided not to take Ronya. I don't want a dog who attacks the people around us. But I may keep taking her for walks with Toya as both loved it. You can find 2 photos of her and Toya in the photo section.
VIDEO!
Today, I took Touya to the park to play and run. I may not dare to let him run freely, but I did make his leash longer than usual, and he loved it! We crossed a goup of joggers, and before I knew what hit me, I lost hold of the leash and Touya... jpgged along. One, two! One, two! Luckily, the joggers found this very funny and jogged a round with Touya until a group of students, bless God, caught the renegade. As usual, everybody loved him... Popular he is!
We came to a tiny little "flow" which actually didn't move an inch. And it was all covered in green stuff that made it look like an even green floor. But anyways, Touya was so happily chasing autumn leaves that I let him play at the watersides. I thought he couldn't possibly be stupid enough not to tell water from grass. But a leaf fell onto the water. The green stuff didn't shift. And Touya went after the leaf...
After I pulled him out, he looked quite pathetic. As wet dogs do. Now we're back home where he's lying in a chair to dry...
Absolutely check out the fotos ^__^
Touya and I went to school. Yup, school. I wanted him to get used to crowds and traffic, and school is the ideal place for that. I should have asked $1 to touch him, I'd be rich by now. I even met a girl who had an Akita once, too. He was quite popular and I was even asked to drag him to the photo studio.
But the same day, for eating anything he finds (cigs, catshit, pins,...) he got himself a diarrhea.
Souzou has rubbed his head to Touya! Has Souzou found a new friend?
8 am and I leave for school. I made a little fence around the stairs that lead down from my room as he shouldn't be climbing stairs yet. But when left him there, all alone for quite a long time, I got quite worried: will he be chewing nails again? Will he be eating catshit, or gnaw cables? What if he gets stuck in the cat flap? Oh godogodogod...
17 pm Got home from school and Jonas tells me that Touya was being a good boy, he only cried 3 times and took one little leak. I think that's quite good considering this was his first time being alone so long with us. He was fine, and happy to see me. And I was happy to see him
19 pm After he ate, I took him out. But oh geez, he's too tense outside as to take a dump or so. So after multiple attempts, we went back home. He knows the way home. He always speeds up once he knows we're approaching home. Lazy butt ^_~
23 pm He's sleeping soundly and so will I in a minute. Baibai.
He's now starting to learn "Down" and "No" in Dutch. I love that clicker...
9 am Touya slobbering all over me at the edge of my bed. OHMEGOD he needs to take a pee. I rush him outside on the terrass. Nothing. He takes his bone and carries it around whining. Does he want to play? Nope. He walked around me in circles with that silly bone. I got it: he was hungry! Hungry indeed, and soon after, he took a good dump outside. Good puppy!
I took him to the bakery to use the chance to get food to get him used to being tied outside a shop. Oh boy, he was such a good kid! He just sat there. No sound, no ruckus. Such a good boy ^__^
10 am Although there were no lessons today, I went to the dog school Easy with him to get us signed up. Ms Plat recommended me not to attend to lessons yet as he's got a bit of a cold, so I only signed up, but not before carrying Mister there, because Mister would sit on his butt all the time. When I got there, everybody laughed at me for giving my dog a 40minute ride ¬__¬ On the way back, it was no better and today, my arms hurt like ****.
My roommates Jonas and Solange adore him!
He now knows "Sit" and "Here" in Dutch and his name.
02 am Stopped working in the bar, my feet, oh the pain...
06 am Got up, got ready to leave for Paris: I had a dog to buy! Yes, after 8 years, I finally found the right dog at the right time!
12 am Finally arrived at Bois le Roi (hey, I am NOT drinking the king, man! Bois le roi = drink the king). Two hours later, the breeder Ms Plat, came to pick me up and held little Touya right in my face: was that a dog or a teddybear? I decided to treat "it" as a dog, eventhough "it" meowed occasionally.
16 am So, after signing quite some paperwork and getting real good advice on education, there we went. I was like: "Did I just buy an Akita?"
Later in the evening, we finally arrived back in Mechelen. Oh jeezus, the bar was full and everydamnbody wanted to cuddle the bundle I was carrying. My cats blew their tails and snarled a fair deal, but they soon calmed down. Especially Souzou seems to be attempting friendly approaches. Touya is starting to understand Dutch commands already. Wow!
